Pale Problems

Hi my little lovlies!

Just wanted to talk about something that has been stressing me out recently... So I literally have the worst complexion ever, spots and freckles on pale skin like who in the right mind thought that would be a good combination!? It's actually bugging me how pale my skin is like I'm practically borderline albino. I know there are some people that think it looks good and find it attractive but I personally don't and it's a nightmare for me!

Trying to find a suitable foundation is possibly the worst part of it because I often find that even the lightest shades of foundation can look too dark... And nothing looks worse than a girl wearing foundation that's about 5 shades too dark. I often find that the lighter shades can have a yellow tone to them which also just looks ridiculous on my skin. Usually when I find a shade does match, it doesn't have the coverage that I desire! I've tried so many different foundations it's unreal. There's only really one that I'm happy with which I want to share with all the other girls out there who struggle with their fair skin like me!

So this is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation in the shade 010 (light porcelain). This may just seem like your average drug store foundation but trust me I've tried all the expensive brands such as Mac and still none compare to this! It has no yellow tone which is perfect for me it just looks so natural and it really brightens your complexion. It also a vitamin moisturising complex. What I love most about this is that it doesn't feel too thick on your face it just feels nice and natural but at the same time it gives you the coverage you need to the point where you don't even need to apply concealer which is an absolute deal breaker for me! Another bonus is that it only costs £5.99 whereas you can pay about £28 or more for a foundation which just doesn't do the job.

That's all from me today, hope I've helped somewhat! Any questions comment below or contact me, don't forget to follow and +1!

  1. Glad you've found something that works for you! If you're ever shopping for another foundation, the L'oreal True Match is amazing, and the shade range is better than any I've come across! Perfect for us pale girls :)

  2. I have the same problem too! Lighter shades just don't have the coverage. I just tick to the trusty rimmel wake me up

  3. I have the same problem with my completion so you're not alone. I find it even more difficult to find a pale concealer that matches my skin tone while still providing the coverage I need. It's basically impossible !
